Teaching

University teaching and pedagogical approach

I am Professor of Psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lille, where I teach psychiatry at every level, from the undergraduate years through to residency.

My teaching aims to convey a rigorous psychiatry, centred on clinical analysis, on the care of severe, treatment-resistant and complex psychiatric disorders, and on the development of treatment strategies.

My teaching covers primarily clinical psychiatry, the management of treatment-resistant or complex presentations, and contemporary treatment strategies, including both pharmacological and physical treatments.

Structuring teaching, and psychiatric semiology

I am involved in structuring the teaching of psychiatry, particularly in the field of psychiatric semiology.

To that end I take part in the work of the French Association for the Teaching of Psychiatric Semiology (AESP), which promotes a rigorous, shared and up-to-date approach to clinical psychiatry, in the service of both initial and specialist training.
